So You Think You Can Drive? Do You Think You Can Rally? Prove It!

There will be two rally events scheduled for January 2nd and 16th, 2010 at the L-Cross Extreme Events Motorsports Park. These events will be extreme and be open to any vehicle with four wheels except atv's. These events will be a cash payout for top winners. The first extreme rally will be part of a 4 day magical New Years Party. Details available at http://www.l-cross.com. The second Extreme RallyCross on the 16th will be on a family weekend.

These events will not be SCCA sanctioned and will not count for points toward the SCCA RallyCross Championship. Don't let that keep you from attending this Extreme RallyCross! There is plenty of potential at this location and I would not be surprised if there are many more future events hosted here.

The second round for the 2010 Florida region SCCA rallycross championship has been scheduled for January 17, 2010. The event will be held at another new location, which is called Thundercross MX park.

The facility is only about 20 miles west of the St. Lucie County Fairgrounds. The Motocross track has a massive field which measures roughly 40 acres. That is a lot of room for us to layout a huge course. For reference the Homestead location is 20 acres and the St. Lucie fairgrounds space that we used was about 15 acres. Not only will there be a lot of seat time (estimating 3min) but it will also be very competitive because now there will be twice the amount of turns that could make or break your times. Even if you cannot enter the race you should come and hang out with us anyway. See you there.

The first ever SCCA Rally Cross at the the St. Lucie County Fairground was a big success. The surface was composed of 60/40 dirt to pavement making it a mix between an auto cross and a rally cross. The grip level was constantly changing forcing the competitors to stay focused as they switched from pavement to dirt and back. Ultimately, in the end competitors were left with huge smiles on there faces. We should all thank Tm Mincey Sr. and the family for all the effort they put in to make this event possible. This is a sport that runs solely on volunteers so it is important to help out all that you can and show your appreciation. The results can be found in the events section by clicking on the event. Also, there are many pictures of all the cars in the picture section. Don't forget to join the forum to keep in touch with your local Rally fans. We are still new so spread the word about Rally Florida! The more support that is shown, the more we can do with the sport. Keep in touch as we will soon be posting the next event.
