We are kicking off the 2011 SCCA Rally Cross season on January 30th 2011. The event will be held at the St. Lucie County Fairgrounds which has been proven to be the best location that we have ever had to host a off-raod event. The Fairgrounds is located on W Midway Road which is about 8 miles west of I-95 and exit 126. For those who are new, a rally cross is a closed course event where the track is setup on a dirt or gravel field. Cones are placed to mimic a trail and the cars are sent off one by one to navigate the course as fast possible. The Track is usally over a mile long with total seat time averaging about 15 minutes. For a $45 entry fee you cannot beat that. This will be the first event for the championship so come out and score some points early in the series. These events are open to anyone who wants to enter. As long as you have a drivers license and a healthy car and you are eligible. No car, well then think about a rental. So come out and try some exciting rally driving with us. The 2010 SCCA Rally Cross season ended a little early but we still had 8 phenomenal events. Congratulations to all of those racers who made it out and played with us in the dirt. There are always the die hard racers at each and every events but this year we we able to bring in many newcomers to the motor sport. The 2011 Flroida SCCA season schedule is still pending and will be posted ASAP. There might be a division within the Florida region making a south Florida region and a central Florida region. This should be decided after the first event, which should be in Mid Jan. 2011. Keep posted for future dates and info. Have a safe and happy holiday and see you at the next event. |

The next rally cross will be at the Eastbay Raceway park of Brandon on Nov. 7th 2010. Eastbay is a clay/dirt banked circle track with many acres of surrounding smooth land to race on. There is talks of using both the circle track and the open land but only if the weather permits. This is an open invitation event where anybody can race. All you need is a drivers license, a car, and a good helmet. This event should have a long course layout with some of the best seat time ever. The entry fee is $40 and on line registration is open. This is not a SCCA event but there might be points towards another series.
